Secret Sound

When I tell people I’m into Flashing, they usually peg me as an animator or give me an odd look wondering where I keep my trench coat.
The Flash Platform has far outgrown its ‘flashy’ childhood. Now everything from mobile phones, to video game consoles, benefit from the ability to use Flash content – and it’s not just animation.
Recently I helped 37signals play sound around the Campfire.
Embedding a tiny hidden Flash movie that loads and plays mp3 files achieved this. Rather than worry about a FlashUI, it’s all controlled via JavaScript (view the source of this page for details).
It’s great to see… well at least hear… Flash used by such a great company and such a great application.
Here’s another sound way of using Flash.
Can you guess the secret sound?
The first person to get the right answer will get a postcard from the city hosting this years Commonwealth Games (and a Mockingboard t-shirt once I get around to printing off some).
